What is BTEC?

HND in Computing (First Year)

The first-year subjects are designed to fit all types of learners to equip general theoretical IT foundation such as communication and personal development skills, programming, networking, web development, database, networking & security.

HND in Computing (Second Year)

Learners who are keen to work in the networking and security industry chooses to do their learning path with networking specialization. After successful completion of HND, learners will be able to work in organisations as network admin/ engineer or security admin/ engineer.

There will be 7 subjects (120 credits) including a research project in the 2nd year.

Entry Requirements
  • Matriculation or GCSE A Level
  • Completion of Pre-Uni. Foundation Certificate
  • 100% assignment & presentation
  • Individual written report
English Requirements
  • Better to have goo English background
  • iNet will provide polishing English program for free at foundation level
  • Highly recommends to prepare for taking IELTS while doing HND
GPA Requirements
  • Attendance will be recorded daily for every lecture slot
  • Students will be awarded score every lecture slot for the classroom etiquette/ participation etc.
  • A semester is divided into 4 quarters
  • There will be practical/ tutorial at the end of every quarter
  • Attendance, classroom etiquette, and practical score are calculated as quarterly GP
  • Quarterly GP are sent to guardians/ parents via Viber to the number registered at enrollment so that remedial action can be followed before it is far beyond
  • At the end of every semester, GPA for each subject is calculated in the range of 0.0 – 5.0
  • Only the students who earn GPA 3.75 or 75% are eligible to submit assignments at the semester end
  • Students who do not meet minimum GPA are required to REPEAT the particular subject
Learning Support Services
  • If a student has difficulty in learning, learning support staff will help you to arrange necessary assistance
  • Library, e-library are supported for further learning
After-School-Hour Clubs
  • Purposely created for the enthusiastic; helped by the subject specialist; such as web/mobile apps, arduino etc.
  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
